Start with the basics

Not sure what beats what, when to call or whose turn comes next? Start with the Texas Hold’em rules, then use the poker hand rankings chart and quiz to check your understanding. Unsure how much to raise? See the minimum bet and raise guide.

The short lessons let you try the ideas one decision at a time.

Put the rules into practice

Play against computer opponents with virtual chips. Get familiar with the action, notice how the shared cards change a hand and use optional coaching to think about your decisions.

Automated feedback is a learning aid, not a promise that a move is always best or that you will win the hand.

Practice chips, not real-money betting

FeltSavvy uses virtual chips for poker practice and play. It does not accept real-money wagers or deposits, sell chips, or offer cash prizes.

Learn the game, ask questions and enjoy understanding what is happening at the table.

Before you pull up a chair

Can I learn if I’ve never played?
Yes. Try the optional beginner lessons or start a coached hand to understand the rules, your cards, and the options available on your turn.
Are the chips worth real money?
No. Online play uses practice chips with no monetary value.
What’s the difference between Play as guest and Play with saved progress?
Both are free and play against computer opponents. Play with saved progress uses your account to save your profile, chips, XP and rank so you can pick up where you left off. Play as guest needs no account and earns no account XP or ranks; your browser may keep a local save. Neither requires a host code; that’s only for private game-night reservations.
